Overview

Speaking with meaning
How can we get our students speaking in English? How can we get to ‘see’ our students thinking and get them reflecting on their learning? It’s easier than you might think, you just need to ask the right questions! In this session, we’ll look at several techniques we use at our school to really get our students thinking, talking about their thinking and developing their language skills.

Grammar under the microscope
Traditional grammar? Contemporary grammar? Hands-on grammar? Which approach is best for you and your students? We will take a close-up look at some fascinating examples of both more and less traditional approaches to grammar – including a bit of analysis and some extensions and adaptations. Come and join us in our investigation!
