Say It With Oxford Competition 2016
We are delighted to announce the winners of the Say it with Oxford 2016 competition!
The winners were chosen by Jo Turnbull, Managing Editor of the Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary, and Mark Hancock, author of the Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary Speaking Tutor.
This is what our judges said about the standard of entries:
“It was fantastic to have so many entries, with such a range of ages and nationalities taking part. Entrants had obviously given careful thought to the use of language and pronunciation. The job of judging was made all the harder (and more entertaining) by all the creative effort that had gone into the scenarios, locations, costumes and special effects that featured in lots of the videos.”
Congratulations to all the winners, and thank you to everyone who participated!
- Teacher: Sanja Vukina
- Students: Lea Markanović, Petar Mandac and Tara Goluža
- Country: Croatia
The judges chose this video as our overall winner because of the clarity and accuracy of the language, which contained many relevant functional exponents. They thought the contextualization was very creative and it was technically well executed.
Congratulations to Sanja who wins a place on the Oxford English Language Teachers’ Academy Summer School 2016 at the historic Worcester College, in Oxford.
Well done to the students – they have won an iPad mini each!
Highly Commended entries (in no particular order)
